Administration Breaks Their Own Halloween Rule and Dresses Up As ‘Boring’
The news that Collegiate Upper School’s student body could no longer dress up for Halloween day tore through the school causing massive dismay among the student body and faculty. Administration was suspiciously eager to shut down the idea of a dress up day for the Upper School students.
Murmurs and questions have been heard amongst the student body over why the administration really shut down this fun-filled costume day. Some have called it “an outrage” and said that the decision regarding the sudden Halloween costume cancellation is “abominable.”
Two high ranking officials in Collegiate’s administration were overheard discussing the semantics of Halloween, and inadvertently revealed their true plan for the spookiest day of the year. They had decided to shock the students by wearing costumes themselves, but worried these costumes would go unnoticed in the mass of student costumes. One administrator even expressed concern over students who would inevitably come to school dressed inappropriately in costumes portraying any woman (disgusting!) and outshine them. They decided the only course of action to take would be to ban all costumes so theirs would really stand out.
Although it wasn’t easy, they got everybody in the administration to participate: they were all ‘boring’ for Halloween. It’s truly scary how clever they are. Many students sent anonymous tips to our team expressing sadness for their inability to dress up, but these students didn’t even take the time or energy to recognize the genius of the administration for coming up with such a topical costume idea.
However, these same students that were upset about the costumes quickly turned their frowns upside down when they heard that they were allowed to wear jerseys to school. How could we not only be thrilled, but exhilarated to show off our pride for our favorite sports team! “I just love sports and such, good guys, fun games!” said one student with a big smile on his face. We think it was even better, Administration! We loved the costume.
